What PostDeck is
PostDeck is a private publishing tool operated by Side Glance Archive. It is used only by Side Glance Archive to write a post once and publish it to Side Glance Archive's own Facebook Page, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest and TikTok accounts. It is not offered to the public, and only people Side Glance Archive has given an account can sign in.
What we store
- Sign-in details for the people who use PostDeck: name, email address and a hashed password.
- Connected accounts: when a Facebook Page, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest or TikTok account is connected, its name, its ID on that platform, the list of Pinterest boards, and the access tokens the platform issues. Access tokens are stored encrypted.
- Posts: the captions, links, hashtags, schedule times and images or videos we create in PostDeck, and a log of each publishing attempt (with access tokens removed).
PostDeck does not collect data about other people on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest or TikTok: no followers, comments, messages or other users' content.
How it is used and shared
This information is used only to publish our posts to our own accounts. When a post is published, its content is sent to the platform it is being published to (Meta for Facebook, Instagram and Threads, Pinterest, or TikTok). When we ask PostDeck to adapt a caption, the caption, its link, our brand voice and brand hashtags, and the names of the platforms are sent to Anthropic, which suggests a version for each platform; no account details or tokens are sent. We do not sell, rent or share this information with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long it is kept
Uploaded images and videos are deleted 7 days after their post is published. Posts, publishing logs and connected-account details are kept for as long as Side Glance Archive uses PostDeck, or until they are deleted.
Disconnecting and deleting data
You can remove PostDeck's access at any time:
- Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, and remove PostDeck.
- Threads: in Threads, go to Settings → Account → Website permissions, and remove PostDeck.
- TikTok: in TikTok, go to Settings and privacy → Security → Apps and services permissions, and remove PostDeck.
- Pinterest: in Pinterest, go to Settings → Security and logins → Apps, and revoke PostDeck.
Revoking access stops the stored tokens from working. To have the stored account details and tokens deleted as well, email hello@sideglancearchive.store and they will be removed within 30 days.
Security
PostDeck is only available over HTTPS, access tokens are encrypted at rest, and sign-in is limited to the accounts Side Glance Archive has approved.
